NL Workforce Innovation Centre (NLWIC) engages in applied research-based projects to advance workforce development through innovative research. At NLWIC, we believe that informed decision-making is key to addressing the evolving challenges in the labor market. Fair Winds and Full Sails: Job Transition Pathways in NL – Completed ✔

This project explores how workers in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) can move toward long-term employment stability in a changing labour market.

Apprenticeship Recommendations Project – Current

This project is a province-wide initiative to transform the apprenticeship system in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Workforce Development Needs Assessment Project

This project is a province-wide initiative to consult stakeholders in gathering input on workforce challenges, skills and training needs, population growth, and awareness of training funding and programs.
