NLWIC Media/Information Student Assistant (1 position PACEE)

Responsibilities include:
The Media/Information Student Assistant’s primary job is storytelling. This position involves developing content to tell good news stories related to research and other projects and initiatives by the NL Workforce Innovation Centre (NLWIC) and other PI departments. This content will be used across multiple platforms including social media, newsletters, website and others as required. Under the direction and guidance of NLWIC’s Media/Information Officer, the Media/Information Student Assistant will be responsible for gathering information and photos, conducting interviews with NLWIC and PI team members and writing short-form and long-form content/stories to create a portfolio/bank of stories for the Media/Information Officer to disseminate. This position will aid the NLWIC Media & Information Officer’s storytelling strategy for CNA Partnerships & Innovation (PI) Team. Mentorship will be provided by the NLWIC Media & Information Officer with support from NLWIC staff. The Student Assistant will be provided with an office, desk and laptop pending confirmation by the Campus Director.

Qualifications:
The candidate should possess writing, interviewing, research and editing skills, as well as knowledge of social media platforms. Photography, videography and/or graphic design are assets. The student must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to work with a team or independently. 

Duration: 6 Weeks
Hours per Week: 10 hours
Start Date: February 14, 2022
End Date:  March 25, 2022

PACEE Salary:  $12.75 per hour
